The price of the flowers includes a white single-sided card with your own greeting text. Instead of the basic card, our selection also includes a two-sided picture card for 5 €.

In addition to the card, you can choose a vase or a protective pot suitable for a potted flower, depending on the flowers, on the additional products page. When a suitable vase is delivered with the flowers, it is easy for the recipient to enjoy the flowers during the holidays and long after that! You will see the additional product page after the order summary. On the additional product page, in addition to vases and pots, you will also find a variety of delicious chocolates that will complement your Father’s Day surprise. History of Father's Day

The tradition of Father's Day celebrations has arrived in Finland from the United States. An American named Sonora Dodd is considered to be the initiator of the celebration. Her father was the single parent of six children after Dodd’s mother died in the birth of her sixth child, so she also wanted to remember the fathers with a special day dedicated to them. The first Father's Day was celebrated in 1908. Although the President at that time, Calvin Coolidge, supported the idea, Father's Day did not become a holiday until 1966 and in 1972 Father's Day was formalized in law.

Father's Day became known in the Nordic countries in the 1940's at the suggestion of Swedish merchants. November was still quiet before the Christmas season, so they suggested the second weekend in November as Father’s Day to boost sales. In the 1970's Father’s Day was marked in the university almanac without an official decision and removed after a few years. However, in 1987 Father’s Day was so established, that it was added to the calendar permanently and was also marked as a flag day. In 2019 the Government made Father's Day an official flag day in Finland.
